2008 26th Annual Sun Country Regional Science Fair SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Friday, February 29, 2008 3:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Registration, space assignment, exhibit preparation, and bring needed materials (There will be no registration on Saturday, March 1)
Saturday, March 1, 2008 Students can make final adjustments to projects 15 minutes before judging begins.
JUDGING Front Gym 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Middle Division (7th and 8th grades) Back Gym 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Senior Division (9th through 12th grades) Special Awards 8:00 - 11:00 a.m.
LUNCH 11:00 a.m.
POSTING OF SWEEPSTAKES NAMES 11:00 a.m. EXHIBITORS: Please check in the front lobby during lunch to find out who will advance to Sweepstakes Judging. Be at your exhibit at 11:50 p.m. Only students being judged should be on the floor.
SWEEPSTAKES JUDGING Noon to 1:30 p.m. SHARP Sweepstakes Judging for Both Divisions *** Judging times are subject to change*** There will be no PUBLIC VIEWING this year because of the new judging times. Students will have more time for lunch.
AWARDS CEREMONY UTEP Memorial Gym - Front Gym 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Both Divisions The chairs on the floor are reserved for the exhibitors. Guests may sit upstairs in the bleachers. (There is no handicap access for the bleachers. Arrangements can be made with the Fair staff before the awards ceremony begins.)
ATTENTION: Students pick up your exhibits after the Awards Ceremony.
